Digital Marketing Intern

Gitelman & Good Publishers is a Chicago-based publishing company dedicated to providing high-quality plays specifically for high school drama programs. Our mission is to remove any cost or logistical barriers so that educational drama programs can access meaningful, memorable theatrical experiences. 

We are seeking a motivated and creative Digital Marketing Intern to join our team. This position is fully remote and offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in while contributing to the growth and visibility of our publications. You’ll be a member of our team, not a cog in a machine. You’ll get experience other interns won’t: the opportunity to make real, meaningful, contributions and make your voice heard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Execution: Help plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, such as social media advertising, email marketing, and SEO initiatives, to increase brand awareness and drive engagement with high school drama educators and students.
  • Customer Outreach: Support outreach efforts to potential customers, including high school drama teachers and theater directors, through personalized communications, social media engagement, and email campaigns, helping to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to identify market trends, target audiences, and competitor strategies within the educational theater sector, providing insights to inform marketing efforts.
  • Collaboration & Brainstorming: Work with the core team to brainstorm and develop innovative ideas to enhance brand visibility and engagement, particularly within the high school theater community.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools, email marketing platforms).
  • Comfortable with customer outreach and engagement through digital channels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • A passion for theater and education is highly desirable.

  • This position is fully remote. Work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
  • This is an unpaid internship designed to provide valuable experience and professional development opportunities.
  • Flexible schedule with an expected commitment of at least ten hours a week for three months.
