We're always pleased to meet new writers and are accepting submissions for consideration on a rolling basis. Please carefully review the guidelines below.
Gitelman & Good Publishers provides high-quality dramatic work for high-school drama programs. We believe that producing theater develops vital academic and social capacities—as well as creates lifelong memories. Our decisions are guided by doing what is best for the continued health of these programs, and we believe that there should be no cost or logistical barriers for educational drama programs to produce theater that matters.
Artistic Guidelines. Please consider the following artistic tenets of Gitelman & Good Publishers before submitting. We seek plays that:
- Are written for high-school performers and appropriate for teenage audiences
- Explore the vitality and complexity of the world students live in
- Are theatrically rich—challenging, beautiful, and fun to perform
- Avoid being goofy, zany, overly silly, or didactic in tone
- Are full-length (at least 60 minutes)
What to Include. Please be prepared to provide the following:
- Name and contact information
- A PDF of your full-length play
- A brief synopsis (up to 200 words)
- An artistic statement or short bio
- Any relevant production history (optional)
- Submission notes (including rights info if applicable)

- ☑ I understand that Gitelman & Good publishes plays for teenage performers and audiences. While some published works may have originated with adult actors in mind, all must be appropriate, resonant, and meaningful for high-school performers today.

- ☑ I confirm that this play is not under consideration elsewhere, or I will disclose any current publishing/licensing discussions in my submission notes.
