We are thrilled to announce the addition of a delightful new play to our catalog, The Goosegirl by J. Myles Hesse. This enchanting and witty comedic fairytale is perfect for high school teens and brims with themes of love, empathy, identity, and honesty.

Synopsis: Princess Galiena, on her way to Karthland for an arranged marriage to Prince Wilhelm, boasts of her universal appeal, which her servant Hilde quickly challenges. To settle the dispute, Galiena proposes they swap identities to prove that Wilhelm would choose her regardless of her royal status. Meanwhile, Galiena’s loyal steed Falada dreams of being a warhorse and conspires to spark a conflict between kingdoms.

Upon arriving in Karthland, Galiena is dismayed to find that Wilhelm doesn’t fall for her and instead assigns her the role of the Royal Goosegirl. As she navigates her new position, Galiena encounters various obstacles and learns valuable lessons. Her growing friendship with the Royal Gooseboy Conrad helps her understand the true worth of kindness and compassion, irrespective of social status.

The Goosegirl offers a whimsical yet complex exploration of love and self-discovery, making it an excellent addition to any school’s drama repertoire.
